Scouting offers an amazing range of adventures that you won’t get anywhere else. From climbing to kayaking, snowboarding to stage performances, or from camping to coding, you’ll be challenged to learn and achieve things you never thought possible.
We believe that successful learners make confident individuals. We challenge our members to set realistic and measurable goals to achieve their full physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual potential.
We give young people and adults unforgettable experiences and life-changing opportunities, regardless of background, ability, gender or sexuality. And it’s not just our members who benefit from Scouting; the work we do makes a difference in our community.
Many young people experience their first night away or first trip abroad through Scouting. Scouting offers a range of opportunities to explore the world. As a Scout, you’ll always be part of a global network so you don’t always need to travel far and wide to make international connections. We’re a welcoming community, and our links with Groups across the world ensure we can offer affordable international experiences.

From getting involved in the local community to travelling on international camps, Scouts have plenty of opportunities to develop independence and a sense of adventure. We encourage Scouts to have a say in planning and developing the activities and projects they want to take part in, giving them the chance to put their team work and leadership skills into practice.

Explorer Scouts are always on the go! You’ll find there’s always something to get involved with whether it’s an international expedition, adventure camp or community project. Explorer Scouts have the opportunity to take on CV-boosting accolades, such as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award or our own Queen’s Scout Award, and can develop leadership skills through the Young Leader Scheme.
